Tallow Balm Scented

Tallow contains nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids that are non-comedogenic, easily absorbed into the skin, and have been in use for centuries in natural skincare routines.  The oleic acid found in tallow is shown to be a powerful ingredient to combat dry skin, and the lipids and fats present share similar qualities to our skin’s natural sebum, making it less likely to cause irritation and breakouts.  Combined with the hydrating and antioxidant rich properties of shea butter, this natural balm delivers a nutrient dense blend of vitamins A, D, E, F, K, and B12, which help lock in moisture while being mild enough for all skin types.

Our homemade tallow balm is a hydrating blend of organic grass-fed and rendered beef tallow, pure shea butter, and organic sweet almond oil, along with grapefruit and bergamot essential oils for a light, bright fragrance.  A small amount goes a long way, and proper usage will leave skin feeling moisturized without being greasy.  Tallow has a melting point of 95 degrees.  Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Our scented 2 and 4 oz grapefruit tallow has a whipped texture. 

Ingredients: Organic Beef Tallow, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Bergamot Essential Oil, Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

ATTENTION! During the late Spring and Summer seasons, we highly suggest for you to order our whipped tallows &/or body balms to be delivered to an address where items will NOT sit in the heat for long periods of time. We CANNOT accept full refunds or returns and we DO NOT apply refunds for products left over night, or outside to melt. 

You might want to take the tallow or body balms and put them directly in to the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to allow cooling before opening the jar. 

The melting will not affect the quality of the whipped butter as a great moisturiser, but the whipped consistency will change. 

Whipping adds tiny air bubbles (just like whipping cream) that increase the size, lightens the density and changes the texture, making the butter light, white and fluffy. If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles are collapsed, so the volume is decreased. So although the jar was filled to the top, if the butter melts, there will be less volume in the container. The container may actually look half full and the color may change to a dark oil colour.

We have had customers scoop out the butter and whip it back up with an electric whisk beater. The butter has to be very cold for this to work.

We hope you understand that this is out of our control. We are a small business and all batches are prepared in smaller quantities and all sales are final. 

Important to note: As with all of our tallow products, they are all handcrafted, using only natural ingredients and no preservatives/no harsh stabilizers. No two cows are alike. While we source from a local farmer who raises them on open pastures, antibiotic-free, grass fed, no-gmos, there can still be slight differences and variations between batches of tallow. Know that the beneficial* properties within tallow remain the same with every single jar and are not altered.
