Our classic mullein but we have added wild crafted dandelion root to the mix!

Dandelions, also known as Taraxacum officinale, are a type of flowering plant native to Europe, Asia and North America.

As a member of the daisy family of plants, dandelions are related to thistle, dahlias, ragweed, sunflowers, artichokes and lettuce. Most people know of dandelions as the seed dispersed by the wind, or those making a wish. Many parts of the dandelion plant are edible, including the roots, leaves, seeds and flowers.

Both the greens and the root are packed with health-promoting properties and can be used to make everything from salads to teas to tinctures. Dandelion is also high in fiber. Not only is this plant high in vitamins and antioxidants — such as silymarin, silibinin, curcumin, berberine and resveratrol — it also contains potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron and choline. We recommend you go online and look up the many benefits to dandelion, particularly the antioxidants and ability to fight off bacteria, along with the assistance in regulating the digestive system & strengthening bones.

Our mullein is grown and harvested from our property between April-June.  Mullein has been used around the world for many centuries, dating back from the ancient Americas to Medieval Europe, North Africa to India, and from Israel to China.  According to modern studies, this plant has been utilized for its well-documented benefits for the lungs and respiratory system.  This plant is versatile in its range of treatments stemming from anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and is an antioxidant.  Historically, it's been used to aid with staph infections, e.coli, sore throat, migraines, ear infections and gastrointestinal issues!

Carefully harvesting the largest, freshest leaves possible, I went straight to my kitchen to begin the process of tincturing this great resource.  Like our Black Walnut tinctures before it, I used the maceration process to thoroughly soak the leaves in glass mason jars, carefully cleansing them from any environmental add-ons that they may have acquired during growth.  After letting these sit for a minimum of 8 weeks in a cool, dark, dry place, the leaves and its solution are ready to be strained directly into their tincture bottles, ready for immediate use.

What you will be receiving is a 1 oz bottle--the ingredients are pure mullein leaf, wild crafted dandelion root, 80 proof vodka, distilled water & organic vegetable glycerin added.

Alcohol-free variant ingredients are pure mullein leaf, wild crafted dandelion root, distilled water & organic vegetable glycerin added.

Use 10 drops of tincture in water or juice (or our favorite way:  coconut water) up to 3 times a day.
